Last weekend....

So last weekend I tried a Sauvigon Blanc Charles Shaw exclusive Trader Joes brand and pineapple juice from Dole. How was it... hmmmmm not bad, the juice cut some of the acid/dryness of the blanc, but since whites are not just so kind to me unless its a German Riesling.. I am a little bias towards them sorry.....

I also tried a strawberry white zinfandel by Wild Vines not bad the ALC .vol is 6% so really cute, very crisp and fruity, nice summer wine, for me. Price range about 3.99.
not to be paired with food, can be classified as a dessert wine, for its fruityness. Good for a nice T.V night or on a hot summer evening with the girls.

So far this fall I have been loving my Charles Shaw Merlot, My Sweet Cabernet, oh yea did I mention jug of Carlo Rossi Sweet Red isnt bad... there Sangria is the best I have tried. I think next week I am going to try their Paisano. I have never tried this varietal. I will keep you posted.. nothing like finding a jug for 9.99 of great wine.

Oh I also forgot to tell you all about my box wine I tried this summer...Franzia, Chilleable Red.. I must say very good. The wine appeared to last FOREVER even with my drinking.. LOL days even....I kept it in the freezer and would take it, and chill it again ( hence the name) and off to the races again. It was just the right amount of sweetness with a smooth finish. The price range if I recall was about 11.99-14.99 Can not recall the ALC.vol...but it was pretty easy.. a fine buzz that lingered for hours I must say.

Well I will feel you next weekend on my JUG.. of Paisano or I might gather up the Sweet Red by Franzia, either way I will keep you posted on the taste, the feel, the scent and the love...if any.
Till then Ciao!

ITS BEEN SO LONG.. I MISSED YOU.

My apology, I was not able to update for the past few months. It appeared  the sight had one bottle too many.. LOL
However I am back and I can share my knowledge on what I have been indulging in, other than my darn school books. LOL
This blog is ALL about WINE. so lets stay focused. :-)
First off for all my cabernet 'wanna be's" but you found cabs to be hmmm... teeth staining and too full bodied and dry. Well I have found a Cab for you! The bottle name is SWEET varietal Cabernet Sauvignon... too die for. However I can only find it at my local sprit store, but if you google it in your area you should be able to track it down.. trust it is soooooooooooo worth it.
The taste is like a light bodied cab with a sweet finish that will seduce your tast buds. I have never tasted a sweet cabernet, had no idea they even existed.
Lets see I was also introduced by cousin a Pink moscato.. yea Im over it also, however. Its quite tasty and its a  sparkinling rose wine, with a great price at my fav store... Trader Joes for 5.99. Check it out!

Well Im going in tonight to try a new new sauvignon blanc.. I realized that I can not drink inexpensive whites. they give me acid reflux, tonight I have a over the 3 buck mark one.. Ill fill you in.

Till then

A VINEYARD IN THE MOTHERLAND...

As  I promised, winers...I tried a south African wine that will make you slap your tastbuds...LMAO
I mean I could drink this all day, everyday.. seriously....which WOULD lead to alcoholism, so wouldnt be a GOOD IDEA however it would sure be an amazing one.. I swear this wine even appears to release endorphines...Im even happier when I drink it...no Im not drunk, very coherent, but very happy. I wonder could the grapes of a wine do that??? Scientist hear me out. Anyway this wine is from South Africa, Africa has done it again producing some out most prize poccessions, ( other than myself) I hope the vineyard is getting paid heavenly.
This wine is 6.99 @ Binnys and Kenwood Liquors. It is a naturally sweet red, the taste is magnificent, not to sweet, not too bitter, just right.  YEA its so good not only does it get a blog of its own but even a pic..just so you will not get the wrong one!! Please sommliers you have to go get this one, now my advice; dont get the first bottle for a party or a dinner, why cause I PROMISE one taste you will NOT WANT TO SHARE.. I was on  bottle number 3 before I shared.. LOL Just sayin'
So go out, wait RUN out and get this one, please let me know what you think. They also have a rose and white that I will be trying next week. I will keep you posted on those also.
Till then Ciao, drink and be merry!!!

Red appears to never let me down....white however, some make me frown ;-(

Sorry its been almost exactly a month since last post.. I was out doing what I do...DRINK WINE!!!So lets get started. Lets go back to my heart healthy grapes...( dont mind what you saw in the news on Wednesday) keep on drinking your red..its not your wine  that gives cancer its AMERICA...a-n-y-w-a-y!!!! So at Whole Foods from the great Argentina is a sweet red, light bodied awesome wine.. DULCE TINTO MADE WITH ORGANIC GRAPES BY SANTA JULIA IS 9.99 GREAT BUY!! The taste is not as sweet as your other sweet reds its a very classy medium, again light bodied and more grape color, not deep red at all.. ITs a great wine to take to a dinner...everyone would love.
Lets see, then there is this Trader Joe fav..PurpleMoon Chardonney, its not bad.  I notice whites burn the stomach sometimes not really sure why, however the taste is light and surprisingly fruity.  Price...shoot I want to say 3.99 or 4.99 one of those definetly.
Tisdale Chardoney 2.98 @ Food4less, didnt care for at all....I will stick to my Tisdale Sweet red..Im good. Taste is a bitter, very, dry to me.
Well "Winers" that looks like that covers it for now...I am in the process of Hoilday bottles for the upcoming parties...stay tuned. After your wine choice for the gala you will be the talk of the party..hopefully in a good way....:-)

Till the Ciao

2 Buck Chuck!!

Hello all , I have something to admit, I have a new crush, his name is... Charles Shaw. A.K.A Charles Shaw Yep!! He is smooth, classy and inexpensive. LMAO. He allows me try the new and the old all while allowing me to STILL PAY MY BILLS. I have a MAJOR crush on Chuck. Please go RUN out and get Chuck.. at a Trader Joe's near you. I have tried this month.. Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Zinfandel and Chardonnay. They are all pleasant on the tongue and the smell is exquisite. He is kind to your food parings and your dinner guest, he is NEVER hard to find and NEVER leaves you feeling ill the next morning. Funny thing about Chuck's Merlot and Pinot are varietals I USE  to not care for, but Chuck's is AWESOME!
So for 2.99 ( hence the nickname) go out and grab Chuck..either for a dinner party or just to enjoy alone after a hard days work..trust me Chuck will have you begging for more..

Love you Chuck

Cheers, drink and be merry!
